Ristola Instruments are handcrafted by me, Brian Ristola, in my shop in New Hampshire, US. I began building in the late 90s in Chris Stambaugh's custom shop. A few years ago, I moved into my own shop and began working on my own models.

Each instrument is created with precision and care to meet high standards in the areas of sonic quality, play-ability, craftsmanship and aesthetic beauty. Building basses is something that I thoroughly enjoy and it is my pleasure to create instruments that others will enjoy for many years of playing.

I have been a musician for most of my life, playing bass as well as guitar. Musically, my tastes are diverse... Bass is everywhere! In the last few years I have been fortunate to have played bass on albums with Ian MacDonald (King Chrimson-founding member and Foreigner), Chris Difford (Squeeze) and Tony Rombola (Godsmack) .
